Summary

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Titusville, FL. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and repairing a variety of instruments, including guitars, banjos, mandolins, ukuleles, and other stringed fretted instruments. Your tasks will involve restringing, intonating, tuning, filing frets, finish repairs, installing pick-up systems, cutting nuts, cleaning the instruments, among many other related tasks. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic candidates who can work independently and take pride in their work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work area and work bench, as well as assist in keeping common areas such as the shipping floor, workshop, buffing area, and warehouse clean.
• Coordinate daily tasks with your manager and communicate with the team regarding deadlines and any product discrepancies.
• Safely operate sanding machines, buffing wheels, saws, drill presses, and other workshop tools.
• Use measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, and calipers accurately.
• Interact and communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Pay attention to fine details in the finish and playability of the instruments.
• Possess sufficient reading, writing, and basic math skills, along with strong coordination and organizational abilities.
• Stand and walk frequently throughout the work shift.
• Lift 50 pounds or more when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in instrument repair or building, such as technical schooling or previous employment as a repair technician.
• Musical background with a solid understanding of musical instruments.

The Role

We are seeking a Social Media Content Assistant with a specialization in Videography. Working directly under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, you will be the visual storyteller for our five brands. This is a collaborative role where you will help execute the Marketing Manager’s broader strategy while bringing your own creative flair to our digital presence. 

You will work closely with our Artists to obtain their performances, interviews, and product demos, and assist the General Manager and Event Coordination for festivals, trade shows, and company visits.

The ideal candidate has a "musician’s ear" and a "filmmaker’s eye," capable of making a banjo look as cool as it sounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Videography & Production: Script, film, and edit high-quality video content ranging from high-production product demos and "how-to" videos to trendy, lo-fi TikToks and Reels.
• Social Media Management: Schedule and post content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X (Twitter), and YouTube, ensuring brand-specific voices for each of our five labels.
• Artist Relations Collaboration: Work directly with professional musicians and influencers. You will be responsible for filming artist sessions, managing remote content submissions, and ensuring our artists are represented authentically.
• Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of brand events. This includes obtaining content at trade shows (like NAMM) or in-house workshops and coordinating logistics for on-site film shoots.
• Asset Management: Maintain an organized library of video and photo assets.
• Community Engagement: Monitor comments and trends to keep our brands at the forefront of the folk and classical music communities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Video Mastery: Expert-level skills in filming (lighting, framing, audio capture) and post-production editing.
• Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop is a must. Experience with After Effects, Illustrator and Lightroom is highly preferred.
• Social Media Native: Deep understanding of the algorithms, trends, and formatting requirements for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• People Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills. You must feel comfortable directing artists during a shoot and potentially representing the company professionally at events.
• Musical Literacy: While you don’t need to be a virtuoso, a basic understanding of stringed instruments (Banjos, Guitars, Mandolins…etc) with folk and bluegrass genre is a massive plus.
• Multitasking: The ability to pivot between five different brands with distinct aesthetics and audiences.
