works like a charm for the stuff I do at weekend gigs,from flutter trem to dive whammy , but most of all, I no longer hear that creaking sound by the nut when using my tremolo and it stays in tune well along with my Wilkinson VSVG Tremolo.
Easy to install for me cause I work for two guitar shops on a on/off basis and am use to making bone nuts from scratch,so if you've never done guitar nut work before I suggest taking it to a well trusted guitar shop with a good tech. It does take patience if you want it to look like a pro and function the way its suppose to. Highly recommend it along with a Wilkinson VSVG and a high gear ratio tuners.. Be buying more soon for my other guitars....
One for Fender Telecaster, the other for Breedlove acoustic. Both of these guitars are top 10 instruments. The Zero Glide nut improvement came through as described on Youtube demos. So much better string action (lower with out any fret buzz) Clarity in open string tone chords and pulloff plucking, faster tuning to pitch, using electronic tuner, remaining in pitch once strings stretch has settled in. I took my time to install on both guitars about 2 hours for each instrument. Have new custom Guitar that I will 99% sure I will add this improvement to soon. I see this becoming a standard upgrade to many popular manufactures. Lastly the sustain in open chords on all strings cant be described.
I just put the Zero Glide on my guitar. Very impressed. This is as close to perfect as I can get. I can bend all over the guitar and 95 of the time the notes come back to the original pitch....the few times they don t it s so minimal most people wouldn t notice it....I really believe that it s probably the tuners....they re decent low grade tuners. Nothing special. Amazing considering this is a 300.00 guitar. I checked the space between the 1st fret and the E and B strings fretted at the third fret...distance between 1st fret and bottom of string .....they looked like they were less than a thousandth and the guitar was not buzzing on an open string. The action is very low with extra thin strings on it. This made the guitar play even easier. I had the strings set at about 4 thousandths from the first fret while fretting at the third. This took them lower....especially on the first 5 frets. Good job on this I do wish they would have sent me a smaller fret.
I put one on my Taylor 12 fret, it made a big improvement in string tone, tuning, and intonation. I'm now going to install them on all my guitars.
I've got a '67 Gretsch Country Gentleman that has what they called the zero fret. I had always wondered why didn't anybody else do this. I put this on my 2010 Gibson Lucille and it solved the nut drag problem. I'm also going to put it on my '76 Les Paul Deluxe. A great solution to an on going problem.
